Closing the sale - Discussion workshop
Methods of closing a sale and the activities around that process were reviewed. The discussion was lively and very informative. Many members went away with a few new ideas and things to do.
Some side issues on the usefulness of the local Chamber of Commerce were also discussed. It was agreed that there was much room for improvement.

The proposed government cuts were discussed, along with their likely impacts generally and more specifically on members.

Members business reviews and the likelyhood of any potential combined projects was discussed. This followed on from the previous weeks discussions.

Developing more business opportunities for members was discussed along with mechanisms for working as virtual teams on suitable projects.

Guest speaker Jamie Campbell from CYM Consulting returned to do another technology presentation. This time it concerned Cloud Computing. Example were given using the CYMPLE system developed by Jamie.

Len Duvall OBE, Assembly Member Greenwich & Lewisham presented on - The purpose of the Greater London assembly and the LDA plus methods of support for micro businesses.
Len took questions following the presentation and understood the feeling of the meeting that the need for support, for micro business was not offered, understood or generally appreciated.

Following on from a previous discussion, the purpose and marketing of Independence was discussed. Some interesting results emerged and a slightly different focus for future meetings was agreed that would hopefully improve the levels of new business for members.
